Job1

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - UTILITY TECHNICIAN

Location: Hazleton, PA

 

​Duties and Responsibilities Essential to the Job – including the following and any other duties that may be assigned as needed:

  • Work between Hazleton, Bloomsburg and as needed on project jobsites.

  • Be able to operate equipment including but not limited to, forklifts, digger derrick/crane, line

    truck, wheel saw, backhoe, plow equipment misc. equipment.

  • Possess excellent mechanical skills and experience in order to repair all company equipment as

    necessary.

  • Cooperation with purchasing and prefab for the requisition of parts and tools required to

    complete each project efficiently and with cost-saving measures applied.

  • Maintain clean and professional appearance of all warehouse facilities.

  • Creative thinker who can troubleshoot maintenance issues by thinking outside of the scope to

    improve efficiency and profitability.

  • Assist in the pre-fabrication shop with assembly production, when needed.

  • Delivery of materials and equipment to jobsites, when directed.

  • Assist with both electronic and in-house tool management system.

  • Adherence to and fostering of company’s safety-first policies.

  • Foster professional relationships with team members.

  • Assist with other projects for the Hayden Power Group.

  • Conform to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent attention to detail with a problem-solving, trouble-shooting approach to tasks.

  • Capable of working within a fast-paced environment with adherence to strict jobsite deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational and material handling skills.

  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgement in stressful situations.

  • Computer and technical proficiency.

  • CDL required.

  • Knowledge of and experience in hands-on mechanical environment.

  • Expertise with the operation of all types of power and hydraulic tools, small tools, and equipment.

  • Knowledge of electrical components, parts, and assemblies.

  • Familiarity with rigging i.e., tying down products and equipment prior to hauling or delivery.

  • Skilled in welding and burning assemblies preferred.

JOURNEYPERSON - ELECTRICIAN

Location: Bloomsburg, PA and Hazleton, PA

 

​Duties and Responsibilities Essential to the Job – including the following and any other duties that may be assigned as needed:

  • Apply complete and thorough knowledge of all electrical tasks as needed in a commercial, industrial, or residential electrical installation.

  • Responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in customer locations, buildings, and structures.

  • Handle all types of wire terminations.

  • Troubleshoot all electrical systems on a commercial, industrial, or residential electrical jobsite.

  • Demonstrate complete and thorough knowledge of all electrical materials and tools.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret and understand blueprints, drawings, and work orders.

  • Mentorship of apprentices and helpers. Monitor work progress.

  • Responsible for accurate coding of timecards. Proper completion of time and material sheets as required.

  • Collaboration of work with a crew of electricians or other jobsite tradespeople.

  • Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment are maintained in an orderly and safe working fashion. Maintain clean work areas.

  • Communicate with other employees, management, and customers in a professional manner.

  • Conform to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Supervise assigned crew in order to complete a project accurately and thoroughly.

  • Working knowledge of the most current National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E.

  • Proficiency in testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixture using testing devices and meters such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or meggers.

  • Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).

  • Ability to properly identify wire colors including distinguishing between shades of color and brightness in order to splice, join and connect wires to fixtures and components to create circuits.

  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment, laying conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects.

  • Capable of operating two-handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.

  • Operate and work from mechanical hydraulic lifts (electric or gas powered).

  • Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.

  • Operate equipment (i.e., trenchers and backhoes) in a safe manner.

  • Ability to follow instructions.

  • Commitment to company values and the highest level of professional and ethical standards.

PRE-FABRICATION MANAGER

Location: Hazleton, PA

​Duties and Responsibilities Essential to the Job – including the following and any other duties that may be assigned as needed:

  • Adept at positive collaboration, cooperation, and interaction with project team.

  • Evaluate drawings to establish design standards, specifications, and required criteria.

  • Utilizes software to produce and modify two-dimensional (2D) drawings and develops detailed digital prefabrication assembly drawings for projects as needed.

  • Identify and coordinate all preconstruction aspects with project team during project turnover meetings.

  • Coordinate with field leadership at jobsites to identify jobsite needs and lay out designs to be created in the prefabrication shop.

  • Cooperation with purchasing and consignment to order required tools and parts for project completions.

  • Periodically visits the job site to evaluate prefab products, possible missed opportunities, and gather installer’s feedback.

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve prefabrication/pre-construction issues.

  • Regularly participates in preconstruction and on-going project meetings.

  • Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures established by HPG following a systemic, standardized approach to detailing project plans.

  • Understands estimates, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication.

  • High attention to detail and sound judgment/decision-making abilities.

  • Proactive learner with a desire to continuously improve and grow.

  • Considerable organizational, coordination, and deadline driven abilities.

  • Strong mathematical and multi-tasking skills.

  • Conform to all Hayden Power Group policies and procedures.

  • Commitment to company values and the highest level of professional and ethical standards.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other software applications preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical, and construction processes including electrical codes such as the National Electrical Code.

  • Management experience.

  • Ability to coach and develop a team to meet targeted goals.

  • Ability to begin projects with little to no direction.

  • Experience in prefabrication and office environment.

  • Ability to see how their department’s work supports the organization as a whole.

  • Has successfully managed different project sizes of Commercial Electrical projects.
